Originally the Valkryie was designed to be a gun that incorporated chain lightning technology, due to technical difficulties with chain lightning technology people who used the gun were stuck down by their own projectiles. This was unacceptable to InfraStruct officials so it was decided that the gun would have to incorporate older lightning technology but with more power.
